Sue Gregory - mother of Terry and Billy, both murdered.
It is a little known fact that each year in the UK around a hundred people commit murder and get away with it. The people who carry out these crimes somehow manage to avoid detection, and remain free to mingle with us, wherever we and our families may go. Peter Bleksley decided to do something about it. He was well qualified for this work.
He captured many murderers in his years as a detective. He had also posed as a hitman when working undercover, and had plotted, planned and worked out how to kill and not get caught. He had also lived under the cloud of death when a vast criminal organisation took out a contract on his life. Colleagues and informants of his had become murder victims. Bleksley armed himself with a pencil, a notebook, his mobile phone, and went out onto the streets to see what he could discover.
He found glaring errors in some of the police investigations. He found angry relatives and communities that had been blighted by these murders. And he found clues. His astounding findings are published in his latest book, ‘ten most wanted ’.
Unsolved Murders
Please do not delude yourselves that murder is something that happens to others, and not to you. Peter has found that people of all descriptions, male, female, young, old, white, black, Asian, criminals and the law abiding, the wealthy and the working class, are getting murdered and their killers are evading justice.
Peter Bleksley was not made welcome everywhere he went. A few people were openly hostile to him, but mostly people welcomed him, and continue to provide him with information. A small number of police forces have opened their doors and their files to him, and support him in his work. They see the publicity he generates as useful and another tool in the fight to bring murderers to justice.
Many senior investigating officers however refuse to speak to him or are economical with the truth. Some forces have endeavoured to cover their deficiencies and errors by trying to discredit him in the media. Regardless, he remains committed to all the cases. He would welcome any ideas, opinions, theories and thoughts on these crimes. The names of the victims featured in ‘ten most wanted’ are listed below:
| Andre 'Jan' Aylward | Les Bate |
| Alexander Blue | Amanda 'Milly' Dowler |
| Terry Gregory | Chinadu Iheagwara |
| Joan Roddam | Wayne Trotter |
| Lt Col Robert 'Riley' Workman | The remains of an unidentified male* |
